Obituary of Luigi M. Di Nardo

Luigi M. Di Nardo, a longtime resident of Yonkers, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 19, 2020 at the age of 81. Luigi was the beloved husband of the late Georgianna (Mascetta), who predeceased him in 2012. He was the devoted father of the late Louis (Susan) Di Nardo, Mark (Christine) Di Nardo and Christina (Duane) Campbell. Cherished grandfather of Dominique, Danielle & Louis Di Nardo and Jessica & Nicole Campbell. He was born in Italy to parents Villesina (Calderone) and Aladino Di Nardo and was predeceased by his brother Antonio and his sister Giosina. He is also survived by his younger brother John Monaco. Luigi came to be an auto-mechanic and a machine operator at an early age and saw his skills reach him across three continents. He owned and operated with his sons, Antlo Service Center in Mt. Vernon, NY for 44 years, right up until the year of his death. Luigi loved his family first and foremost, and enjoyed soccer, bocce, the outdoors, musica and vino ( Schniff ). The family will be present on Tuesday, September 22nd from 4-8 PM at Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Services – 732 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704 – (914) 375-1400 – www.frswfh.com. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704. A cremation will be held privately. Please Note: Due to CDC guidelines, we are required (by law) to limit the amount of people at the funeral home to 33% capacity of the room, with a maximum of 50 guests. If you are not immediate family, please consider making your visit a brief one.
